Where can I check the inspection due date?
Check the next inspection date in Traficom My e-Services, on the inspection certificate or in Part I of the registration certificate.
Do I need an appointment?
For a standard passenger car or van inspection, you may also visit without an appointment during station opening hours. Heavy-vehicle and special-service visits must be arranged in advance.
What should I bring?
Bring the vehicle and key. Keep your booking confirmation available if you booked an appointment. Also bring any separate emissions test certificate and service-specific documents.
Can someone else bring the vehicle?
Someone other than the owner may bring the vehicle for a periodic inspection. For registration and ownership matters, check in advance whether authorisation is required.
How long does an inspection take?
If you have booked an appointment and arrive on time, a periodic inspection for a car or van takes about 15–20 minutes. We cannot guarantee the duration of a drive-in visit. The time needed for heavy vehicles and specialist services is agreed separately.
What if the vehicle fails?
Repair the defects that caused the rejection and take the vehicle for a re-inspection within 1 month. Check the inspection certificate separately to see whether the vehicle may be used in traffic.
What is included in the package from €59?
The inspection package includes the periodic inspection and the required emissions test for a vehicle under 3,500 kg. Re-inspection is not included.
The inspection package costs €17 more at the station than when booked online.
