At Lakalaiva we inspect passenger cars, heavy vehicles and extra-long and extra-wide vehicles.
The station also provides modification and registration inspections and VAK/ADR vehicle inspections. Through Testmill's partner network, Lakalaiva also provides individual approval and approved-expert services for all vehicle categories. Arrange heavy-vehicle and special-service visits in advance.

What to do when you arrive
Park in the station yard and check in with staff. Leave the car outside – do not drive into the inspection hall yourself.
If you have a larger vehicle, need accessibility assistance or will be late for your appointment, call the station before arriving.
By appointment or drive-in
Without an appointment
You can also come for a regular inspection without an appointment. We cannot guarantee the duration of a drive-in visit, as waiting time depends on the queue. The inspection package costs €17 more at the station than when booked online.
Book a suitable time
If you have booked an appointment and arrive on time, a periodic inspection for a car or van takes about 15–20 minutes. We cannot guarantee the duration of a drive-in visit. The time needed for heavy vehicles and specialist services is agreed separately.
The station booking page shows available online times and vehicle classes. If you cannot find the right service or time, call the station. Heavy-vehicle and special-service visits are arranged in advance.

Hyvä ystävällinen ja asiallinen palvelu!
Erittäin hyvä palvelu ja ystävällinen henkilökunta. Piha- alue suuri ja käytännöllinen.
Ostin 30e alustan tarkastuksen, johon pääsi sujuvasti aikaa varaamatta. Palvelu oli ystävällistä ja joustavaa. Tilat jokseenkin kulahtaneet, mutta tarjolla oli kuitenki kahviautomaatista kahvia. Tarkastusta pääsi seuraamaan hyvinkin läheltä.
Good to know before your visit
Must vehicle tax be paid before inspection?
Yes. Overdue vehicle tax and late-payment interest must be paid. A prohibition of use caused by unpaid tax prevents approval of the inspection. Future instalments do not need to be paid early.
