Standard inspection interval for passenger cars and vans
If a vehicle is inspected at 8–9 years of age, the next due date may arrive before a full 2-year interval because the 10-year age threshold shortens the interval. The rule applies, among others, to M1 passenger cars and N1 vans; other vehicle categories and special uses may have different intervals.

The inspection deadline has passed – how do I bring the vehicle for inspection?
A vehicle may not be used in normal traffic if the periodic inspection is overdue. Driving to a pre-booked inspection is possible under Traficom's conditions. Also check the vehicle's traffic-use and insurance status before moving it.
Vehicle removed from traffic use
A vehicle removed from traffic use may be taken to a periodic inspection without first being returned to traffic use when the inspection has been booked in advance, motor liability insurance is valid, and the vehicle has registration plates or a transfer permit and transfer plates. Drive directly from the storage location to the inspection and directly from the inspection to the storage or repair location.
