Arriving at the station
If you are late, call the booked station directly.
- Check the station, address and time in your booking confirmation.
- Park in a customer space and check in with staff.
- Wait for instructions before driving into the inspection hall.
- Tell staff if you need help handling the vehicle or moving around.

Also check the inspection due date
Before leaving, check the vehicle's inspection status as well as tax, insurance and road-use status. An expired inspection period or temporary decommissioning affects how the vehicle may be brought to the station.
Vehicle tax before inspection
A periodic inspection cannot be approved while the vehicle is under a prohibition of use due to overdue vehicle tax. Pay all overdue vehicle tax and late-payment interest before your visit. This also applies to unpaid tax from a previous owner or keeper. Future instalments do not need to be paid early.
Payments made through Pay tax appear immediately. An ordinary bank transfer may take 1–3 banking days to appear: carry the payment receipt until the record updates. Paying the tax alone does not guarantee a pass; the vehicle and all other requirements must also be in order.
- Sign in to Traficom’s My e-Services and choose the role in which you are acting.
- Open Vehicles, select your vehicle and open Tax information. Check all overdue taxes.
- Choose Pay tax. Check the tax period and pay the overdue amount including interest. Pay each overdue tax separately.
- Save the payment confirmation and check that no overdue taxes remain outstanding.
