Report for approval or inspection

The content and acceptability of a report depend on the approval or inspection for which it is used and on the approved expert's scope of competence.

  • Conformity reports for structures and components.
  • Reports required for individual approval within the approved expert's scope of competence.
  • Technical reports for registration, modification and coupling inspections.

Good to know before booking

Can I request the report during the planning stage?

Yes. Send the plan and state which approval or inspection the report is needed for. Required measurements can then be considered before construction.

Does the vehicle need to be brought in?

It depends on the report required. Documents may sometimes be reviewed remotely in advance, but inspection or testing of the structure may require the vehicle to be present.

Does an approved-expert report replace the inspection?

No. The report may support an inspection or approval, but the actual approval or inspection decision is made in its own procedure.
